This practice opened as a satellite practice to the Forster practice in 1992 to service the people of Tuncurry.
We currently have 6 members of staff including our full time optometrist and owner Dale Rolfe who has been with us since 1986 and Tanya Megaw our office administrator of more than 30 years.
We are located on the south side of Manning St a few metres before the pedestrain crossing traffic lights.
We have easy car parking behind our building in the Woolworths car park with only a 50 metre walk through the arcade to Manning St. This car park has disabled parking but we also have a single disabled spot directly out the front of our practice.
Our large practice is designed for wheelchair access and we also have disabled toilets.

Yes we still bulk bill for your convenience.
Please bring in your Medicare Card at the time of your consultation as we are continuing to bulk bill what we can after the federal government’s reduction in rebates to optometry in January 2015. There will be an extra charge of a non rebatable service fee of $20 per visit payable by the patient. This enables us to continue with our ability to carry out full comprehensive testing without reducing patient care by reducing time spent with you.
We highly recommend that all patients have a full macula scan at each full visit. The cost of this is $45 for adults and $15 for children.
Other tests are used on indication. Fees for those not covered by Medicare will be explained at the time of your full comprehensive consultation.
Spectacles start from $179, or 2 pairs for $249 for single vision complete spectacles. See Our Offers for more information about our spectacle pricing.
Contact lenses start from as little as $30 a box.
